Self-striping yarn does all the work in this cute beanie pattern. The pattern creates a striped beanie using DK (3) weight yarn or worsted (4) weight yarn and a size I or J crochet hook. The beanie is stitched in the round and the spike stitch is explained in the pattern. Instructions are also given for making a faux fur pompom. A purchased pompom would work too. Separate instructions are given for the 2 yarn weight versions. The finished beanie will measure approximately 9 1/2” from the top to the edge.
